Depending on what cryptocurrency you plan on mining you will need some cryptocurrency mining equipment. The main component in a GPU mining rig is of course the graphics cards. You will need Graphics Cards (GPU’s) with 6GB+ VRAM if you plan on mining Ethereum this is because the DAG file for Ethereum currently takes up over 4GB of the graphics cards VRAM. When it comes to choosing a motherboard for mining you will need a motherboard that supports over 4G encoding and enough PCI-e expansion for your graphics cards. If your motherboard does not have enough PCI-e slots you can use a PCI-e extender.
